Niche Marketing Online ... Start a Niche Business
The riches are in the niches. Think about it for a moment. If you don't already, you'll soon agree that niche marketing online is the way to succeed.
For those who don't know, a "niche market" or "niche business" refers to a relatively small, highly focused segment of the market. Online or offline, one of the best pieces of advice you'll get about starting a new business is that you need to find a niche, or an unmet need, and fill it.
The same is true of internet business. The riches are in the niches. Just as in the offline world, marketing to a proven niche is your best bet, hands down.
Would you rather start internet business in a highly competitive field populated by people who've been at it for a number of years, or would you prefer to find a niche market of proven and hungry buyers?
Unfortunately, many people who want to start an internet business try their hand first at producing and/or selling "how to make money online" products. This is a field dominated by about half a dozen or so really "big name" players, and several dozen more less well known, but still major names. The
available products already number in the thousands.
Why should people buy a "how to" product from someone who has never done it themselves, especially when similar products are available from very experienced, very high profile marketing experts? In any case, what chance is there for a newcomer to compete with people who have made
their living online for three, five, or even ten years?
On the other hand, if you've chosen to become an Affiliate of two or three of the top-selling, highest quality "make money" products, this isn't a bad approach, except that you still have to face the fact that you're competing with several hundred or even several thousand other Affiliates who are also promoting the same product(s). Among those are the "Super Affiliates" ... the top 5% or so whose sales dwarf those of all other affiliates combined.
Fortunately, there is a better way to start internet business ...
- Find a NICHE that is relatively untapped.
- Determine that it has reasonable demand.
- Find out what those people want to buy.
- Create or obtain it and sell it to them.

You may have expertise in a certain area that you could share by way of an ebook or special report. It might be related to your occupation, or your hobby, or some special knowledge that you've gained over the years. If so, you may have the beginnings of a "niche business".
Other people choose to do a little exploring, and find a niche in which there is a demand for either information or products. They then create a product for that niche, or develop an information site and
become an affiliate for the products related to their chosen niche.
As luck would have it, there are a few people out there who have already done this, and have been willing to share their expertise in the form of some very good e-books and a few software tools that will make finding your niche a breeze.
While other people are chasing rainbows, you can be busy developing a profitable online niche business, and actually have a chance of finding that elusive pot of gold ...
